Baijin Successfully Hosts the China Sulfide Industry Development Seminar

On June 26, the China Sulfide Industry Development Seminar was held in Changyi City, Shandong Province. The seminar was organized by the China Inorganic Salts Industry Association and co-hosted by Shanghai Baijin Chemical Group Co., Ltd. and Shandong Jindian Chemical Co., Ltd. Notable attendees included Wang Xiaofeng, President of the China Inorganic Salts Industry Association; Sun Guowei, Deputy Mayor of Changyi City; Kong Qingze, Chairman of Shanghai Baijin Chemical Group Co., Ltd.; along with key representatives from government departments, industry associations, academic institutions, design institutes, and major sulfide enterprises.

In welcome speech, Chairman Kong Qingze elaborated on Baijin Chemical's leadership in the global carbon disulfide industry, highlighting the company’s extensive resources in high-purity hydrogen sulfide. He also underscored the strategic advantages of Shandong Jindian Chemical in terms of land and talent resources. Additionally, Kong shared insights into Baijin's practical exploration and achievements in extending the sulfide chemical industry chain. He emphasized Baijin’s commitment to shouldering more responsibilities in the development of the sulfide industry and invited widespread collaboration in technology, capital, projects, and information to strengthen China’s sulfide industry chain.

Before the seminar, attendees visited Shandong Jindian Chemical Co., Ltd. During the seminar, Professor Jiang Xuefeng from East China Normal University pointed out the current challenges facing China’s sulfide industry and discussed future development directions. Professor Fu Yongzhu from Zhengzhou University provided a detailed explanation of the technology and applications of sulfide battery materials. Sun Fengge, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Inorganic Salts Industry Association, introduced the current status and trends of sulfide products like polyphenylene sulfide. Leaders from Xingfa Group, Hongxing Development, and Yifeng New Materials also shared their perspectives.

The seminar focused on the theme of developing new productivity and promoting high-quality growth in China’s sulfide industry. President Wang Xiaofeng praised the efforts and contributions of Baijin Chemical and other enterprises in technological research and production practices within the sulfide industry. He acknowledged the industry's current challenges, such as market contraction, product substitution, and the underutilization of hydrogen sulfide by-products. Wang emphasized the significant potential and promising future of the sulfide industry in China. He highlighted innovation as the key to sustainable development, the importance of accelerating new product development, and the necessity of integrating with other industries. He also stressed that a green, low-carbon approach is essential for high-quality development in the sulfide industry.

Wang advocated for organizing similar technical seminars and high-level forums to promote comprehensive exchanges on new technologies, processes, and product development. Furthermore, he called for the establishment of a specialized sulfide committee to concentrate efforts on overcoming industry challenges.
